Comprehensive Guide to Your Training Program

Welcome to the comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in your driving instruction career. This training will be conducted in two parts: theory and practical. The purpose of this guide is to provide you with a detailed overview of what to expect and how to prepare for each component of your training.

Training Structure

Theory Component

On the first day of your training, you will receive an assessment book along with the schedule for your in-car training sessions. The theory component will cover essential knowledge areas that are crucial for your success as a driving instructor. Topics will include traffic rules, vehicle dynamics, and effective teaching methods. This theoretical foundation will serve as a vital reference throughout your training and beyond.

Practical Component

The practical component of your training is designed to provide hands-on experience in teaching various driving skills. Each day, you will bring your assessment book with you to be marked and evaluated. The practical sessions will cover the following key areas:

  • Meet and Greet Customers: Learn professional and friendly ways to welcome your students and create a comfortable learning environment.

  • Pre-Check Car: Conduct a thorough pre-check of the vehicle to ensure it is safe and ready for the lesson.

  • Cabin Drill: Familiarize yourself with the essential controls and functions within the vehicle's cabin.

  • Left and Right Turns: Master the techniques for teaching smooth and safe turning maneuvers.

  • Roundabouts: Navigate through roundabouts with confidence, ensuring students understand the rules and best practices.

  • Traffic Lights: Teach students how to approach, interpret, and respond to different traffic light signals.

  • Hazards: Identify and respond to various road hazards effectively, ensuring student safety at all times.

  • Lane Changing: Practice safe lane-changing techniques, emphasizing the importance of signaling and checking blind spots.

  • Parking: Cover parallel parking, angle parking, and parking in tight spaces.

  • Hill Starts: Teach students how to start and stop on inclines without rolling back.

  • 3-Point Turns: Execute precise 3-point turns in confined spaces.

  • Mock Test: Simulate a driving test to assess students' readiness and identify areas for improvement.

Assessment and Evaluation

Throughout the training, your performance will be continually assessed and evaluated. This process ensures that you are developing the required competencies and are ready to teach others. You will need to conduct ten lessons, during which your ability to instruct and manage students will be observed. Additionally, there will be an assessment of your driving ability to ensure that you meet the highest standards of driving proficiency.

Conclusion

By the end of this training program, you will have gained both theoretical knowledge and practical experience necessary to become an effective driving instructor. This guide serves as a roadmap to your success. Embrace each component with dedication and enthusiasm, and you will be well-prepared to embark on your teaching career.

We look forward to seeing you progress and succeed in this journey. If you have any questions or require further assistance, do not hesitate to reach out to your training supervisor.
